Perfectionism and Complex Trauma
Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 4:00 PM PT / 6:00 PM CT.
Maybe you've built a life around high standards, praised for your discipline and drive, while privately nothing you do ever feels like enough. A single mistake can outweigh a room full of things done well, and rest itself can feel like something to feel guilty about. You tell yourself that if you just try harder, plan better, or catch every error before anyone else does, you'll finally get to relax. But that moment never quite arrives.
For many people, this pattern didn't come out of nowhere. Perfectionism often develops as a way of managing an unpredictable or unsafe environment; if you could just be good enough, careful enough, or accomplished enough, maybe you could stay safe, keep the peace, or earn the connection you needed. It worked, in the sense that it got you through. But it also means the standard keeps moving, and the relief you're chasing keeps slipping out of reach.
This 1-hour webinar looks at how Complex Trauma can give rise to perfectionism, why the inner critic gets so loud, and what it actually takes to loosen perfectionism's grip without losing your drive or your standards altogether. We'll also leave time for a live Q&A at the end so you can bring your own questions and experiences into the conversation.
If you've ever wondered why doing well never quite feels like doing enough, this is a good place to start. See you there!
