Our mission is to help people and organizations become havens where healing from Complex Trauma happens — one safe person, one relationship and one community at a time.
Every person has right to 3 practical aspects of existence:
-

The ability to live
Each and every human needs and deserves the ability to understand, and exist as, who they really are. This means to exist both authentically and vulnerably. The requirements for the ability to live this way lie in the fulfilment of the 12 Needs that Tim speaks of, including food, water, safety, respect, connection and love.
-

The ability to cope
Each and every human needs and deserves the ability to cope with any positive or adverse environment they find themselves in. Biologically, the tools to cope are rooted in the limbic system of the brain - fight, flight or freeze. These stress responses are dominant in early life, but remain this way unless new coping tools are learned.
-

The ability to relate
Each and every human needs and deserves the ability to relate to themselves, to others, and to the world, since humanity is relational by nature. When we grow up in adverse environments, our adaptations for relating to ourselves and others become inhibitors for forming close, meaningful, valuable connections.
Complex Trauma is the missing piece that sheds light on all kinds of problems. Undetected, it affects every aspect of a person.

Our mission.
Our mission is to help people and organizations become havens where healing from Complex Trauma happens — one safe person, one relationship and one community at a time.
We create sanctuaries where people can experience the safety, connection and belonging that allow their most authentic selves to emerge. Through practical, evidence-informed Complex Trauma education, recovery pathways and training, we help people understand the adaptations that once helped them survive and gently reconnect with the parts of themselves that learned to hide.
We believe the light of the authentic self within each person was never lost. It may have been protected, buried or difficult to see, but in safe relationship, it can begin to shine again. From one safe person, to one relationship, to a community of people learning to live differently, those individual lights become something greater: a glimmer of hope and a growing constellation of safer, healthier communities.
Our work is to help create the conditions where that light can emerge — and, together, illuminate the world
Our vision.
A world where people do not have to heal from Complex Trauma alone — because safe people and healing communities are within our reach.
Our values.
Safety
We create emotional, relational and organizational environments where people are treated with dignity, consistency and respect. We do not force vulnerability, rush healing or sacrifice safety for outcomes.
Humility
We remain curious, teachable and willing to say, “I don't know.” We respect the limits of our scope, seek consultation and allow our understanding to evolve as evidence develops.
Connection
We believe healing happens through safe relationship, but healthy connection builds autonomy rather than dependence. We walk with people without rescuing, fixing or taking responsibility for their choices.
Responsibility
We help people understand why their patterns make sense without removing responsibility for what happens next. Growth means developing the capacity to make choices, repair harm, establish boundaries and participate meaningfully in our own lives and relationships.
Compassion
We meet people with warmth, empathy and curiosity while remaining willing to tell the truth, hold boundaries, have difficult conversations and challenge with care.
Practice
The principles we teach participants should also shape how we lead, communicate, make decisions and treat one another. Safety, accountability, boundaries and healthy relationship are not products we sell; they are standards we hold ourselves to.
Our rebrand.
New look, the same belief. Our brand is changing. What we believe is not. Learn about what the new look means and why we made these changes.
Who is Tim Fletcher?
Tim Fletcher is the Co-Founder of Tim Fletcher Corporation, an educator, speaker and pioneer in Complex Trauma recovery. His work is rooted in a powerful belief: healing happens in connection with safe people.
Tim's journey began through his work as a pastor and addictions counsellor, where he witnessed firsthand the struggles of people living with addiction, emotional pain and unhealthy coping patterns. Over time, he began to recognize that many of these challenges were connected to something deeper: Complex Trauma (C-PTSD).
Through years of research, observation and working directly with individuals, Tim identified more than 85 Characteristics of Complex Trauma and developed practical educational tools to help people understand how their experiences shaped their beliefs, behaviours, relationships and nervous systems.
But Tim also recognized something essential: understanding our trauma is only part of recovery. We need safe relationships and environments where we can practise living differently.
This understanding became the foundation of his approach, combining education, practical tools and meaningful connection. What began as Tim's desire to help people in his own community has since grown into an international network of curriculum, coaching and communities through Tim Fletcher Co.
Today, Tim's teachings are carried forward by a growing team of educators, coaches and facilitators who have also walked their own recovery journeys. Together, they create spaces where people can feel safe enough to explore their experiences, develop healthier relationships and reconnect with the authentic parts of themselves that learned to hide in order to survive.
Tim's vision has always been rooted in compassion, dignity and the belief that healing is possible. As the organization continues to grow, that vision has become something shared by an entire community.
What is Complex Trauma?
“Trauma is not what happens to you. Trauma is what happens inside you as a result of what happens to you.” —Gabor Maté
Trauma is someone’s response to a deeply scary or harmful event that makes them unable to cope.
Complex Trauma (or C-PTSD) is defined as the response to an ongoing environment of danger where one never feels safe. This response constantly signals a stress response such as fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. It affects every aspect of a person—their bodies, relationships, brains and ability to have a spiritual connection. Tim Fletcher has identified over 85 Characteristics of Complex Trauma, which may help you better understand how it affects you and begin putting the pieces of your own experiences together.
If we can heal Complex Trauma, we can heal the rest.
