Complex Trauma: Codependency + Narcissism
Complex Trauma, Codependency + Narcissism
You may not have had the words for it, but you’ve felt it: the loneliness inside a relationship, the confusion of kindness followed by cruelty, the ache of giving everything and still not feeling enough, or the shame of needing so much without knowing how to ask safely.
In this course, you will explore how complex trauma shapes patterns of giving and taking, how shame fuels both self-erasure and self-protection, and how codependency and narcissism emerge as trauma responses. You’ll also learn to recognize manipulation, gaslighting, and love bombing, while beginning the process of healing by reconnecting with your inherent worth.

This module explores how shame takes root in childhood and quietly shapes the way we see ourselves and others. Left unrecognized, it fuels both codependent giving and narcissistic defenses, making relationships feel like a cycle of performance and pain. Through reflection and truth-telling, you’ll begin to separate who you are from the shame you carry and open space for healing.

This module examines what happens when codependent and narcissistic patterns overlap in the same relationship. Often, both people are simply in survival mode, compensating for unmet needs with strategies that erode trust and connection. By noticing these dynamics with compassion, you’ll start imagining new ways of relating built on honesty, respect, and mutual care.
